Bypass and CIPP of Raw Water Intake of a US Industrial Plant

Evanco Environmental had the unique opportunity to rehabilitate the primary raw water intake system of a large US Industrial Polymer Plant. Site investigation completed by Evanco determined the 36″ and 48″ concrete header were leaking and creating potential soil and pipe instability. Without the raw water intake, the plant would be forced to shutdown until the supply could be restored. To prepare for cleaning and lining, the bypass was installed and calibrated to supply on-demand water using real time data logging and monitoring systems. Numerous challenges were identified and over come during the construction process.
